An antique Thai‑style bronze “winter Buddha” statue, radiating calm and introspective grace. The Buddha’s expression is peaceful, with gently downcast eyes and a firm, composed brow that conveys deep inner serenity.
The figure has a strong yet elegant profile, with broad shoulders and a slender waist, wrapped in a sanghati robe associated with the winter Buddha. The oval face is finely modelled: almond‑shaped eyes lowered in meditation, curved brows meeting above a prominent nose, and softly contoured lips forming a subtle, exalted smile. Shell‑like curls cover the head and rise into a flaming ushnisha, symbolising his advanced spiritual development, while the elongated earlobes recall his princely youth, when he wore heavy gold earrings before renouncing worldly life.
Seated on a decorated lotus‑leaf pedestal, the Buddha’s hands rest in the Dhyana mudra, or meditation gesture, which evokes deep contemplation, focused stillness, and unity with higher wisdom. The lotus on which he sits represents enlightenment and the fulfilment that follows spiritual awakening. Large and/or fragile pieces requiring palletising, specialist crating and/or extra packaging may take a little longer. Palletised shipments will be delivered curbside.
