A pair of antique Chinese‑style wooden temple guardian lions—also known as Imperial guardian lions, shishi lions, or “foo dogs.” Historically placed before palaces, temples, tombs, and the homes of high officials and wealthy families, such lions are believed to confer powerful protection and ward off negative influences.
Each lion is carved fully in the round, with a strong, muscular body and an elaborate, swirling mane. The faces are especially expressive: full lips, almond‑shaped eyes, and finely incised pupils beneath gently arched brows create an impression of alert vigilance and calm authority.
The craftsmanship is of notably high quality, evident in the crisp definition of the mane, facial features, and ornamental details.

Large and/or fragile pieces requiring palletising, specialist crating and/or extra packaging may take a little longer. Palletised shipments will be delivered curbside.
