In Hindu mythology, Rama is one of the most revered figures, known as the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, the Preserver in the Hindu trinity. His life and exploits are chronicled in the epic Ramayana, written by the sage Valmiki.
Rama embodies righteousness, duty, and ideal kingship, making him a timeless symbol of virtue and morality.
His bow and arrow indicates his readiness to destroy evil. He is also called Shri Rama.
According to Hindu belief, Lord Vishnu incarnates on Earth whenever evil threatens to overpower righteousness. Rama's birth is celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami, marking the ninth day of Chaitra month in the Hindu calendar. Born as the eldest son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya, Rama's birth was a divine intervention to annihilate the demon king Ravana and restore order to the universe.
