The figure sits on a simple pedestal, clad in a traditional two‑piece monastic ensemble: a long lower garment wrapped at the hips and a loose sanghati robe draped over the left shoulder. The drapery clings to the body in a naturalistic manner, subtly revealing the form beneath—a stylistic lineage that recalls early Dvaravati models and the classical realism of Gupta India. This treatment gives the statue a harmonious balance of spiritual restraint and lifelike presence.
Hands rest in the Dhyana mudra, the meditation gesture that evokes deep concentration, inner stillness, and the disciplined calm of the contemplative life.
